Depression Psychologist BerwickCompassionate, evidence-based support.

Seeing a depression psychologist Berwick locals can trust can help you find your footing again. Depression is more than a bad week. It can feel like a heaviness that does not lift, a loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, or a quiet sense that you are just going through the motions. It is common, it is treatable, and reaching out is a genuine act of strength.

How depression can show up.

Depression looks different from one person to the next. You might notice some of these.

  • Persistent low mood or tearfulness
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in things
  • Fatigue and low motivation
  • Irritability or a sense of numbness
  • Changes in sleep or appetite
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Withdrawing from friends and family
  • A flat or hopeless view of the future

How we help.

Therapy for depression works by gently interrupting the cycle that keeps it going.

Cognitive behavioural therapy

We help you understand the link between how you think, what you do and how you feel, and shift the patterns that hold you down.

Behavioural activation

We help you reconnect with activity and meaning at a manageable pace, so momentum begins to rebuild.

Deeper work when it helps

Where depression is tangled up with past experiences or long-standing patterns, we can work at that level too.
